![]() | The Department of Police is located in Fürstenfeldbruck and in Sulzbach Rosenberg and currently trains the majority of police students in Bavaria at the campus in Fürstenfeldbruck. Students here train for their career on professional and executive levels for the Police Enforcement Service (either Police Force / Constabulary or Criminal Investigation Police Department). The University of Applied Sciences – Police Affairs (HfoeD) teaches future higher ranked police officers in various disciplines including psychology, political science and social sciences. The inter-disciplinary research team of the HfoeD examines various domains relevant for policing including cybercrime, radicalisation, extremism, terrorism among others. Security research for and via the police strengthens everyday networking in police practice with training and further education, in other words integrating theory and practice. The research team of the HfoeD provides scientific knowledge on relevant topics in the field (i.e. security research, crime prevention or crime research) to police or institutions of the security structure and aids in the design of further training courses and seminars and the mediation of contacts. In addition, the research team supports police and security authorities by providing scientific services in solving day-to-day problems. Furthermore, the HfoeD works closely with the Ministry of the Interior and the Police Departments in Bavaria to maintain current standards between theory and practice and to serve the needs of police officers and citizens, alike. ![]() | HRT organises every year special schools and seminars by professional trainers, both in Greece and abroad, in order to provide its members with all the technical knowledge that is required in order to be able to perform their duty when participating in a Search and Rescue operations. More specifically, in terms of internal training, meaning training carried out for its members, every year HRT implements numerous courses in various fields (Mountain Rescue, Sea Rescue, Urbans Search and Rescue, First Aid) in order to train all each members based on their field of operations. These courses are always updated in order to keep up with the developments in all fields of SAR operations. Being a member in ICAR and IMRF allows HRT to fulfil that goal. Furthermore, trainers of HRT HQ also visit HRT branched all over Greece in order to support local trainers in the courses on local level. Additionally, in terms of external training, meaning training carried out for others than its members, HRT implements every year various BLS (Basic Life Support) courses that are aimed for citizens, in order to raise the society’s capacity in first aid. Moreover, HRT carried various seminars that are addressed to citizens in order to educate them how to behave in safely in the mountains, at sea, during an earthquake, against a fire and extreme weather related events. ![]() | Police Academy in Bratislava was established in 1992; it falls under the higher education system of the Slovak Republic and operates as a state university. The aim of the Academy is to educate and train high skilled professionals for the departments within the Police Force of the Slovak Republic, special units of the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic, and for other state and non state security services. It was founded in 1969 as Teacher’s College, later turned into Higher Pedagogical School, only to become modern Pomeranian University, offering Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral degree courses in a variety of fields.The University boasts highly qualified lecturing staff and well-equipped specialist and computer laboratories, as well as lecture halls.
